Crossfire Premier '91 Evergreen Recap

Burlington, WA - Crossfire Premier '91 played three games against some extremely tough competition in the 2003 Evergreen International soccer tournament this past weekend. In the first contest on July 24, Crossfire beat a good Mukilteo Magic '90 team, 4-0. In their second contest on July 25, Crossfire lost to the FC Talons '90 0-2. On Saturday, Crossfire lost to NWN '90 Allegra 0-2 in a hard fought game. Congratulations to all teams for their fine efforts!

Crossfire Premier '91 now gets a few days rest before returning home to 60 Acres and playing to defend their 2002 crown in the 2003 Crossfire Seattle Challenge tournament. Their first contest is scheduled for 8:00am Thursday, July 31, against Shooting Stars '91 Red. Goooo, Crossfire!

Crossfire Premier '91 Completes Diadora

Redmond, WA - Crossfire Premier '91, coached by Dick McCormick, came away from this year's Diadora Cup with a 1-2-1 record, meeting their objective of getting four quality games against some of the premier GU-13 teams in the state. They tied their opener on July 10, 1-1, against a great host team, ECFC '90 Green. On Friday evening, Crossfire beat an outstanding Snohomish United '90 Revolution squad, 2-1. On Saturday morning, Shooting Stars '90 Red showed why they are one of the top teams in the state, controlling and scoring in the first half enroute to a 4-0 win. Crossfire wrapped up the tournament in a 'best 3rd vs. best 4th' game Sunday morning, losing a close one in a rematch with ECFC '90 Green, 1-2. Thanks ECFC, Snohomish United and Shooting Stars for the great games and for the great learning experience!

2003 WSYL Divisions Announced

Washington State Youth League (WSYL) has established the teams and divisions for this fall's league play. Crossfire Premier '91 will be playing in the Blue Division. Other teams in this division include: Columbia Timbers '90, Bremerton O'Niners, MV Marauders Premier, Mt. Rainier FC '90 Storm, Shooting Stars Red, Legacy '90, FC Alliance Gold '90, NWN Allegra, Spokane Shadow Sky, and Norpoint FC '90 Spirit. Schedules will be released in late August.
